Dear business partners and friends,

Ten years ago, in October 2013, Fancy Books Packaging launched its first list of books at the Frankfurt Book Fair, all written and designed by Agata. Since then, our constant aim has been to offer publishers and readers titles on emerging trends and original subjects; books that will stand the test of time and become timeless references, such as Chairs by Architects, one of our first projects, is still in print, as are many of our other publications which are enjoying long happy years in the backlists of our publishing partners.

The story continues this year with ten new projects that reflect our wide range of interests: from Architecture for Extreme Weather, which shows how architecture can adapt to the most challenging climate conditions and bring innovative solutions against global warming, to Scandalous Fashions: 20 Shocking trends that changed the history of clothing, the fascinating story of scandalous innovations in fashion, and from New Pop Design, a guide to the revival of pop design, to Witches: a popular myth about the changing image of witches from demonic women in the middle ages to feminist icons nowadays. Unisex: when fashion changes our perception of gender pays tribute to the 1960s and 1970s, when unisex fashion became ubiquitous, and shows how this lasting trend has revolutionised modern society’s vision of gender. Patio Houses and Nordic Summer both highlight the importance of architecture connecting interiors with exteriors and nature. The interactions between architecture and nature are also at the core of When Architecture Meets Nature, which contains truly stunning examples of nature’s multi-faceted influence on architecture. Illustrated Walls: state-of-the-art covers for contemporary interiors offers great insights into a new decorative trend, and Masterpieces under the Magnifying Glass guides you through every detail of twenty famous paintings and reveals their secrets.
